ARTIST SUSTAINABILITY INITIATIVE

I create opportunities for artists to engage their communities through the development of new works and conversations.

My goal is to support artists in strengthening their creative foundations so we may collectively advance humanity.

As an artist and arts professional with 16 years of experience, I believe in giving back by cultivating artist minority groups within our culture. My work in this area is non-profit and I am happy to support you, get in touch to work together here .

This initiative is supported by the European Union’s Next GenerationEU program through the Break Fellowship, supporting female entrepreneurs across Europe.

In winter everything lies dormant in the silent earth, it is a sacred time of rest and reflection before the awakening and the slow build toward brighter days. As we consciously link our awareness to nature's cycles, our understanding of our own personal growth cycles begins to deepen.

The energy of winter is that of going within. It's the fruitful darkness and silence from which our soul's yearnings and new inspirations can eventually emerge.

Cinthia Pérez Soto: Chilean Dancer & Karim Romero: Peruvian Artist

Chilean dancer Cinthia Pérez Soto takes us on a journey through the "Mapuche" worldview, the largest native nation that exists in Chile and Argentina. The Mapuche regard women with great importance, as they recognize that she is the one who possesses the wisdom of feeling, which is why the complementary duality between man and woman is valued.

Peruvian artist Karim Romero presents an experimental performance work focused on her cultural heritage in South America. Weaving multiple languages into body movement, storytelling and poetry, Karim joins Cinthia in giving voice to their histories and identities as Latin women.

Artist DinneRS

Rita Onofre, Portuguese singer and songwriter.

The Artist Dinner creates space for artists to share their visions and cultural goals with the local community.

As an often underrepresented demographic, artists have the opportunity to speak about what it means to be an artist in the context of our society, from addressing social issues to sharing about the detailed process of conceptualization to production.

Artists are invited to open themselves and voice their experiences in taking up space in this world, fighting to do the work they do while not being recognized as professionals in our society.

Previous Artists: Rita Onofre, Patricia Keleher, Andrea Huber Gutierrez, Diane Giraud, Francesca Faulin, Lua Carreira, Natasha Pinto, Magdalena Schweiger, Melanie Cardoso

OCEANO ATLÂNTICO EXHIBITION

Analog photograph by Portuguese photographer Bárbara Alves.

Starting from the call of the Ocean we developed an exhibition that explores the Atlantic Ocean along the Portuguese coastline and islands; the country for which we are all fascinated, we feel the calling of the ocean and we cannot resist. It is present with us in daily life, through the air, in its sounds, its light, in its never-ending, all-encompassing form.

Through the mediums of installation, movement, voice, film, photography and sculpture, the Lisboa community is invited to immerse themselves in these works and expand the conversation of what it means to experience the Portuguese coastlines in the context of their own lives.
